Dr. Michelle O’Neill ND achieved her Honors Bachelor of Science in Premedical Sciences from McMaster University in 1998. She then graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2002. While studying at the CCNM, she also did rotations at Anashnabe Health Centre and at the Toronto People with AIDS clinic.
Dr. Michelle’s practical experience includes 2 years at a conventional walk-in clinic in Mississauga, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, alongside medical doctors, chiropractors, and massage therapists. From there, she spent 2 years in private practice in Collingwood, and sat as a member of the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Public Health Education Committee. She then moved to Barrie where she spent six years at the Wolbeck Health Centre with a wonderful team of professionals.
The dream of owning her own clinic came true in January of 2012 when Elements opened in Barrie. A small and intimate clinic that focuses on health, prevention and wellness, Dr. Michelle enjoys a diverse practice, has a special interest in hormonal imbalances, depression, anxiety, digestive complaints and autoimmune conditions. . A large part of her clinic time is also spent doing acupuncture protocols for everything from acute and chronic pain management, to allergy control and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Michelle has a passion for teaching and education. She is an accomplished public speaker, lecturing for a variety of groups, as well as having appeared on numerous television and radio shows across Canada.
Dr. O’Neill is registered with College of Naturopaths of Ontario, a member of the OAND, CAND, and has completed the Prescribing and Therapeutics course, allowing for prescription of desiccated thyroid, as well as bioidentical progesterone and estrogen creams.
